🌱Leafing into a New Academic Year with the MCRS ‘24-’25 Orientation 🌱
The Masters in Conservation and Restoration Science Program started off the 2024-2025 academic year strong by welcoming 23 new students into the MCRS community. The orientation was a wonderful opportunity to meet the incoming cohort and we are excited to see how these talented individuals will contribute to the program and to the field of conservation and restoration science. This new cohort brings a wealth of passions and expertise, so we cannot wait to see what they accomplish. As we kick off the new academic year, we look forward to the collaborations and discoveries that lie ahead.
In conjunction with MCRS’ Orientation week, the second-year cohort had the exciting opportunity to meet the stakeholders and community partners they’ll be working with on their capstone projects. These projects allow students to apply the skills and knowledge they’ve gained throughout their first year in the program to address pressing environmental challenges alongside local organizations, agencies, and experts. Whether the teams are restoring habitats or developing conservation strategies, the second-year students are poised to make large strides through their work and we look forward to seeing the results from these collaborations.
